2009 - Cruise - Day 2

The ship spent the whole day at sea today. So we didn't have to worry about excursions, or getting on/off. We had a quick breakfast around 10 AM. Then we went to an exercursion talk in the Startlight Theater.
sunbathing
Next we did the sushi + sake sampling. Turned out only four people showed up for the "event": Jessica and I and another young couple. On the plus side, it felt a bit more personal. The guide showed us how to make sushi, and told a little bit about the history. Another guide walked us through some sake (they were quite strong!). Afterward we each got a plate full of sushi, sashimi, and nigiri. I also got to see the special knife that they used.
We spent the next hour up top sun bathing. It was quite windy. At 4 PM, we went to an art auction. I can say that it wasn't exactly my favorite. We left after a while.
Tonight was the Dress Up Night. We dressed up a bit nicer than normal, and had a photographer take our pictures. We went to the Tsar's Palace for dinner. I had duck. And Jessica had lobster and grouper. She didn't like the grouper that much.
Later that night we walked around the ship some more. I didn't see as many stars as I thought I would. I heard that if you go out far enough, you can actually see the Milky Way. Around 9 PM, we went to watch another comedy show by the same guy as yesterday. We had fun.
